The used LCD ->240 x 128 with T6963C Controler The front part of the Bya being adjusted http://pwp.netcabo.pt/samtech/mods/lcd_bay/imag0101.jpg The acrilic base for the LCD Bay View of the LCD bay and it's metalic base The first LCD tests and from the base and rest of the ilumination The ilumination test from the Acrilic base The LCD Test The board wiith the ilumination conectors, the inverter conector and the LCD conector: More ilumination test's The sides of the bay , the acrilic molding ans the painting. The acrilic base after all ajustment's ,holes and some edge polishing: The sides before adjustment The sides after adjustment and polishing A very goo hair dryer from Black&Decker with 2000W to mold the acrilic (Aka heat gun) The acrilic for the back cover after molding, and preparing to finish up the sides The sides and back cover after finished and polished: THe painting of the metalic base, the sides (Tha were painted on the inside , so we can get a miror finish ) and the front of the bay: To place the acrilic on the bay there were 2 ideas , but othe firs on gave some bad result's due to a chemical reaction between the acrilic , the paint and a paste used to fill in the space, so i opted by polishing the front acrilic as the other part's and the result was much better then i expected And what all we where wainting for , the final result !! Left , right and front view of the bay back view The Bay in action It's content's after all conected: My WOrk Bench Well that's all , hope you to enjoy it as much as i do Samtech Portugal RULA !!!! Wow, that is a REALLY nice job. I'm going through my own LCD project right now, except mine will be taking up 3 5 1/4" bays. Right now I'm on my fifth different PCB, but this one should work. I'm curious though, you're in Portugal, but all the text on the bay is in English. Any reason why? And this guide wouldn't be complete without tell ing people where you got the LCD from. Blue/white is probably the most sought after color combo for LCDs, so not telling people is just wrong, even if you ripped it out of some really hard to comy by equipment. |
