I was wondering if the source code for LCDInfo was available? As i would be able to make my own changes or perhaps contribute.
I'm not a particularly good coder (well i havent done any real codng in a while) but i'm sure I (and many others) could get alot from being able to read/ change the source to suit our purposes. And also a much greater understanding of how it all works etc.

Just wondering.

Reuben.

Maybe if you would be more specific in what you'd like to do we could find out if it's the full source code or just the plugin sdk that is needed to do that.
So with more information and being more specific we can probably find the best solution.

Sorry, i just figured i could get a better understanding of lcdinfo if i could read the source code of it.
And other things like for example, i could have done a quick hack for the PCD8544 driver to allow me to use my own wiring.

PS: when can we expect the custom wiring for PCD8544 to be implemented?
(a round-about guess)

No need to be sorry of anything ;) Full sources are not currently publicly available but this is under consideration.

Ok, for custom PCD8544 wiring you can try this: http://www.skippari.net/lcd/alpha/pcd8544_driver.dll

I haven't yet tested it myself so it might contain some bugs or not work at all.

Thanks, but that crashes LCDInfo... :(
The log doesnt tell why it chashes, but it's right after it loads the DLL.
Ohh well, you said that it may not even work.
I'm thinking of writing a program using serdisplib (i'm sure you've heard of it)
to display text...this is for my server (linux) and it would've been a bother to have to move the LCD from one to the other.
thanks anyhow.

Hmm, the crash wasn't expected. As I said I hadn't tested it but I did some testing and ran it with LCDInfo to test how the config screen works etc. but I didn't have any display connected so I wasn't able to confirm if it outputs anything.

I'll have a look into this.

Well, i'm running win98SE and it seems to crash due to the PCD driver as you can see here:

The DLL is PageFaulting.
