Hi,

I have a KS1080 LCD with a RS-232 -> LPT converter board. Is there any LCD's that LCDInfo support that runs of the COM port? Is there any way of implementing a COM port lcd in the current version of LCDInfo?

Yes there are already several serial lcd's supported by LCDInfo so what you have in mind is possible.

A friend of mine designed a board that takes a serial command and convert it to a 8 bit ttl signal. It supports 16 bits (RTS toggels between hi and low byte) and he routed the signals to support 3 different types of lcds with straight ribbn cable so it is a very simple and easy to use board. The best of all is it only has 3 components on so it is cheap. Less than $12. Iwant to use the ks driver to and drive it serialy
