Post subject:  Installing manual?

I have hooked up my first try to interface an 3310 display.
I downloaded the LCDinfo_test.zip file, version 0.6

I hooked up the LCD with Resistors and Zeners.
I havn't messuered anything yet and I use a Laptop.

Is there any additional drivers I have to use to be able to reach the LPT port in WinXP?
I guess that I should use PCD8544 driver in LCDInfo to a 3310 LCD?

The display doesn't show anything.. Should it lit up when hooking it up if everything would be correct?

I don't get any errors from LCDInfo.

/Best regards

Currently there isn't very good manual available but the best I can offer now is this: http://www.skippari.net/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=471

You don't need to install any drivers. Just extracting the LCDinfo_test.zip and selecting the correct display driver should be enough. Also the default screen from the package is a 84x48 one so you should get some picture on your lcd without any additional configuration besides selecting the correct driver (PCD8544) and restarting LCDInfo. When LCDInfo is started it automatically reads the screens.xml file from the screens directory and starts showing the screens defined there.

So sounds like you could be having hardware problems. You could also try different bios settings for parallel port.
