Here's a driver for the IEE 03601-90 4x20 character VFD:

http://www.skippari.net/lcd/alpha/plugi ... driver.dll

Connection used was very simple.
LPT - VFD
1 - WR
2-9 - D0-D7

that IEE vfd on VFDworld.com, has the same command structure
accordind to the PDF files for each the only differance i see is one is a 2x40 and the one I have is a 4 x 20 seems like verly little should have to change to make it work.

I really need to catch up with this stuff.

What I remember looking into few different IEEE VFD datasheets they had similar commands. I suspect that the driver itself was programmed to support different sizes, could have been just that I was lazy and didn't add it to the configuration dialog.
Can you get any output with your displays using this driver ?

jpace113,

I have this VFD working just fine using the VFD thinger VB app from the vfdworld.com web site.

I also have the PDF spec sheet of this IEE 03601-96 display
