I have been suggested that some scripting support in LCDInfo using Python could be good. I agree that it could possibly allow for much flexibility. Haven't really yet thought what would be the best way to include scripting but it should be some kind addition to the current system so that both could be used.
Don't even know how much additional overhead and resource usage embedding Python to C++ would cause but I'll have to find out.
I had a look into some examples of embedding Python scripts in C++ and there were interesting ways to make them interact.
I'll have a look into this later.
