Ok, just thought I'd put here some links I saw that might have helpful information for making plugins.
Basically there's sample source code to get data that could be considered as LCDInfo plugin.

System information

CAMEL - CPU Identifier Class
http://codeproject.com/system/camel.asp

System Information
http://codeproject.com/system/system_information.asp

System Information Utility
http://codeproject.com/system/computerinfo.asp

Getting System Information
http://codeproject.com/system/sysinfo.asp

DtWinVer v1.34 - OS Detection Utility
http://codeproject.com/system/dtwinver.asp

More coming later as I see new things.

Also I have all the code for things that have been in previous versions but are not yet done as a plugin if anyone's interested.

just finished at all this source code.
They basically give all the same informations.
I don't think many peoplo will put their cpu revision on their lcd .
they give all plenty of things but NONE give you the current cpu fsb nor the multiplier so nothing that would let you say "Hey man i'm currently at 13x220 on my Barton 2500+ this roxx"

(PS: I'm not at 13x220, just 11.5 x 190 :D )

Just mailed the camel plugin... Looks ok :? I agree with DarkElf that not alot of poeple would like this kind of information but the hard drive space one can be usefull... It can be used were hard drive space needs to be monitored!!! I even thought of updating the graph object to also be able to display pie graphs to show hard drive usage?

You're absolutely correct that the information there is not the most useful to be shown on lcd. I just checked the camel class and thought that it could be easy to make as plugin. The rest I didn't check at all ;)
Personally only the hard drive information is something that could be useful to me I think.

But later I hope to get here some links to more useful information.

I'll check the camel plugin that seems to have arrived in my inbox.

All what i have in my mail box is... spam and many mails like "admin skippari.net, new reply"
the hard drive thing is great but be sure it work 100% fine, not like in the 0.3.2 where there is a BIG bug on removable disk: when the disk is disconnected, lcdinfo show 135435644654/55668555422331 with the first number always growing.
So don't do the same mistake :p
