Hmm, for what kind USB hardware should this support be ? Writing USB driver shouldn't be much harder than writing a regular driver if the hardware/firmware specs are known.

USB would be REALLY nice as all new MoBo's have internal USB so just a 4 or 5 pin header cable and you got data AND power.

Schijf at http://liquidmp3.schijf.org/ is working on some USB, would be nice if it was the same as LCD info!!!

I have thought of building Zotty's USB2LCD II when he gets it ready. And if it then does the job I don't have to spend my time on my own USB LCD anymore. ;)

So I think support could be expected sometime in future. Has anyone yet built the older USB2LCD ?

Speaking of USB, does anyone know if it would be possible to wire a Noritake 800A VFD to go through an internal motherboard usb header? Could I just buy a serial to usb adapter and rewire the usb end for an internal connection? Thanks!

It won't be this simple with the 800A as it isn't a serial display. With serial display serial to usb adapters should work.

I'm working on parallel adapter that should work with 800A also.
