Hi, having got the wiring diagram from lek, i can't run my LCD. I've connected it, like shown, but nothing appears. tryings to run the display with lcdstudio-designer worked, but the program seems to be a bit buggy.
Now I'd like to go on working with lcdinfo, so could anybody help me, getting my lcd run?

thanks,
frog

Presuming:

a) All the relevant pins are correctly wired up to the parallel port (make sure you def. wired to pin 1, etc, most parallel cable ends have the numbers printed inside the plug, tiny next to the pins. Same with the LCD, one of the pins should be identifiable as pin 1).

b) All the 5v and ground lines are wired up correctly

Then the only thing I can think of is the contrast maybe? Is the potentiometer wired up correctly to GND, Vee, and V0? Have you tried altering the contrast to see if anything displays then?

Do you have set the correct wiring setting in LCDInfo configuration ? I think the one used in the schematic lek linked to is the Tweakers.net/PowerLCD wiring.
