Byteway I just discovered a nother problem. If I shutdown my computer and don't shutdown LCDInfo before that, then my computer just stays on.

I just noticed that too.

btw. I'm using win2k if that makes any difference.

I too have the same problem with shutdown. I think the problem is that MBM shutdown before LCDInfo. Then LCDInfo just hangs because it can't find the shared 'mutex'?? extensions that MBM uses.

The only way to shut down is to start Task Manager and terminate LCDInfo, unless you manually quit LCDInfo before shutting down, which I always forget to do.

This problem exsisted in an earlier release, then was fixed, and now it's back.

Using: WINXP, MBM 5.2.1.0, LCDInfo 0.3.2 (NT)

I have to try to start it in minimized and see if that would help for those startup problems.
I don't currently use mbm but I have to also shutdown LCDInfo just like Marty.

Hmmmm....seems spark is having the same shutdown problem despite not using MBM. :?

Maybe it something else. Perhaps the portdrivers are unloaded before LCDInfo is shutdown?

I did some testing yesterday and came to the same conclusion as you Marty: 0.3.1 shuts down nicely, 0.3.2 and 0.4 don't. Also I didn't see any difference if I was using MBM or closing and starting it while LCDInfo was running so I don't think MBM is the problem this time.

I'll investigate this.

Again I did some testing yesterday and tried with different IO driver and some other things but this didn't make any difference. I also tested the 0.3.2 version with Winme and there weren't any problems and the system shut down nicely although LCDInfo was running.

Investigation continues...
