Hi, got a GU192x16 VFD, it's pin compatible with the GU256x64 but i does use an other signalling scheme as i can see..... Anyone can fix one of the two existing noritake drivers to support this ? all i get is garbage with the two existing drivers......

Link to Simplified datasheet: http://www.controlanything.com/noritake ... 16-800.pdf

It should be possible to make a third driver for this noritake but it would be so much easier if there was the display to work with. You wouldn't by any chance have more than one of these ?

No Sorry....

Only one of a kind.....

If anyone out there is having a similar display having problems there's interest in developing the driver ? if so i can borrow you the VFD..... - i don't want to give it away since i actually want very much to use it in a project....

Regards,

// Per

Of course if there's more demand for a driver it can be considered. Usually I've only made drivers for displays that I have myself because that allows also support for it in future. You never know how things can be broken when you can't test it. Also having a display always gives a pretty good reason and motivation to make a driver for it...
