Are the screens on the color LeapPad or color Pixters transflective?

Those devices sure are cheap for a color screen, even if they're not transflective. I don't know of any color screen on the vendor market priced anything like that!

I figure it's got a controller built into the processor, making driving it after removal difficult. Maybe they'll make it to surplus and people will come up with a good driving solutions?

I don't know much about the screens used in those but would be interesting to see one of the units opened. It could be that opening it reveals something very hard to use but who knows...
