lcd hype works with it now
so there is no problem anymore :twisted:

Looks to me like it could be some timing problem or something in the wiring causing interference or not clean enough signals on the Enable lines for example.

Possible fixes I could think about could be trying different parallel port settings in BIOS. ECP/EPP has worked for me but I have heard some have had better success with different settings. Also the timing option in the driver might help.

What was the problem with the display and how did you fix it ? This information could help others too.

enable pin had a cold joint in a hidden place

btw henry ....... did u wrote the lcdstudio ks0108 plugin ?
it doesnot work for me (it flickers)
also the lcdinfo wont show me anything readable
only lcdhype works

the wiring must be right because the lcdhype works :roll:
