I have cross posted this with my other thread. Hope this is alright. http://forum.lcdinfo.com/viewtopic.php?t=1051

For RESET, chip pin #10 using a SED1335 is it normally +5 and when pushed it is shorted to ground? Or, is it normally ground and when pushed it is shorted to +5? And is a 10mf Cap alright, or must it be 0.1 mf?

Thanks
Schlepp

For normal operation this pin must be tied to Vcc (+5V). When you tie it to GND the chip goes in reset.
10mf should be ok, too. 0.1mF is the standard, but it also will do with a bigger one

Thank you

That is very helpful. I had just wanted to be sure.
My dad calls them, sanity checks. Even though you think you know what you are doing and you have rechecked it 10 times. Sometimes it's a good itea to have someone else check your work, too.
