Hi,
has anyone worked with S1D13700 EPSON LCD controller before?
I know that this chip is a newer version of S1D13305.
I am not sure if i can use the same connection for S1D13700 with LCD monochrome graphic display SP14Q002-A2 as those in SED1335.
I found some example on SED1335 and graphic LCD display. but, i found non for S1D13700.
cheers,
Wanna,

As much as I can remember on the S1D13700, they should be pin/pin compatible with the S1d13305 series. However, the 13700 also handles color I believe. Another thing is that the 13700 is limited to a screen resolution of 320x240 max, where the 13305 can handle 640x256. Compare the spec sheets on the two for layout, that would be the easiest way to know.

Hi One~Zero,
Thank you for your previous reply.
I compare the SD137000F0 data sheet to SED13350 data sheet. They have some similarity. However, i would like to confirm how to wire SD13700F0;because, there are many samples on hardware wiring on SED13350 but there is non for SD13700. So, i would like to confirm that i could use the same connection and pins as in SED13350.
Specially, i want to know what really XECL, MOD(WF), YSCL pins do?
Since, SP14Q002-A2 ,black/white Graphic LCD display, has only 14 pins so these 3 pins seem to be a left over pins from the LCD controller. So, would it be ok if i just leave these 3 pins unconnected and leave them open?
Thank you,

Yes, you can just leave those pins unconnected. Do you have a S1D13700 controller board already available to you? If so, I would like to know how this works out for you...keep us posted :D
