if you are really good, it can be.
You would have to fuse a new evacuaction tube on it, and use a vacuum pump to pull out the air.
While the air is being pulled, have the display in test mode, it should gradually start to come to life and get brighter as the air is being pumped out.
Then you need to figure out how to seal it, and reactivate the getter.
I knew someone that broke the stem on a vacuum tube once, and just left the vacuum pump hooked to it, and it worked fine, of course, he just replaced the tube, but it was fun to experiment.
