Post subject:  CCFL Back Light supply and Vee negative supply

Hi there,

I wonder whether i need to built a negative supply circuit up tp -17.5V(from data sheet) which is supplied to vee pin for the lcd module or is this same with the circuit which is also output a negative voltage (-14V) and this circuit is connected to CCFL two wires coming out from the LCD module. This because when i not using any extra negative supply circut i got no thing when power up the lcd ,the connection of V0 and Vee to a pot already well connected,i really cant see a thing or two.Someone please tell me what i suppose to do inorder for me to see something on my LCD module. Thanks!

Well the datasheet would help us sort you out, but yes you will need negative voltage to drive the contrast (probably) , and if you have not got an onboard neg voltage generator , then you will either have to build one or buy one.
The CCFL inverter is totally different , and will not drive you neg voltage , its for the backlight . Sounds like you have the two mixed up somehow 8O , hope you have not killed it .
