I have the GU128x32-311 display and am having trouble initiating the self test. According to what I have read, it should be as simple as supplying power to pin 1, ground to pin 3 and grounding pin 2 of CN3. Is there something else I'm missing? I've checked and have +5v on both sides of the fuse directly above the power connector. My power supply is a regulated +5v capable of up to 20A, and voltage stays stable when connected to the unit. Thanks for any help you can give.

Take off the data-connector, if you didn't already, then do the selftest. Otherwise i'd say the display is defective.
