Post subject: | toshiba TLX-1741-C3B what do i need to get started |
I have just aquired a Toshiba TLX-1741-C3B for my media centre PC project. Im just not sure what i need to get started.....this is what i think i need 1) wire up the control port on the thing to the specs of the schemeatic for the T6963C on this site. 2) find me a -8v power source. (maplins or RS) 3) a power source for the backlight i have an invertor from a scanner that should work. is there something im missing or if someone could point out where i can get the right power sources from that would be grand.... Thanks |

The pinout of that display seems to match the TLX-711A here: http://www.skippari.net/lcd/t6963c_schem.html EXCEPT that pin 20 is REVERSE input. If you connec this to +5v you get positive image and if you connect it to ground you get negative image. Also the typical VDD-VEE voltage is 18.5V in the datasheet. This would mean that with +5v VDD you need at least -13.5V VEE negative voltage. |

You can trying using a 5Vdc Pwr supply and then a -15V voltage regulator connect to a Trim, so that your are able to adjust contrust. http://www.skippari.net/lcd/t6963c_schem.html like described in the link, just look for a regulator that will meet your needs, you will have build a simple circuit on a PCB to get the voltage though; its the only way! |
