Hi,
I have one Noritake GU256x64-355. Is it compatible with the wiring and the drivers for GU256x64-372? Sorry, but no datasheet by now.
Thanks. :)

If I had to guess I'd say yes, the pinout and wiring and driver to use are the same. But I'm not going to give you 100% quarantee.

Thank you for your fast answer. I will try and keep you informed. As I have never tried to connect vfd's (or lcd's), first I will try some lcd's (I do not want to fry my supercool GU256x64-355). :D

I have a GU256x64-352 which I used the -372 scheme for and it worked. However, to make completely sure (since you don't have a pinout) you could get the data sheet for the controller ic, and work backwards from there to find out where the signals go to on the connector. It might take a little bit of time, but it would be worth it.

I have now the data sheet. The pin assignment is the same as in GU256x64-372. I will try this weekend (hopefully).
Thank you for your support.

Great! The VFD is a lot easier to connect than an LCD by far. :D
