i´ve bought an lcd of 4 x40 his controller S6a0069 and got two enables, i make the lpt1 cable with this:

im sure that the pins are ok, i´ve tried to use it with the smartie, jalcd, and a lot of programs more, simply trying to put a line or a dot in the screen, but i can only see thats its on with the backlight on, but receive no data, my question is WHY? i think is refered to the controler made by samsung but its suposed to be compatible with de HD44780, suposed...

I WILL THX ANY SUGESTION BEFORE I START TO MASH IT...

Obvious remarks:
- triple check wiring, use multimeter if possible
- port95nt driver installed?
- 'supposed' to be HD44780 compatible, is that certain or not? Who says that?

y dont really know if its compatible, someone coud tell me that?? i will start to compile a program for the lcd to make sure that its running, someone knows some c libreries? for lpt1?
