I have a ks0108 display which i have wired according to the schematics on this website, my problem being that when i use the ks0108 test program the display is streched horizontally, it appears to be inserting a blank line between every column.

Initially it had a lot of static bits but i sorted that by putting noise limiting caps over the control lines.

I have tried all the different Parrallel port settings in the bios but this makes no difference.

Any one have any ideas or even seen the same problem before

Sounds like the display is for some reason interpreting one additional enable pulse so it write two bytes instead of one. I believe this could also be something about the wiring. You could also try changing the delay setting in the driver configuration.

i checked it on my laptops LPT port and it works fine so i dont know if its noise off my pc or my motherboard or what causing the problem when i arent busy at work ill check it on the logic analyser.
