Post subject: | Wiring VLUK-2048 T6963C display |
I have checked all the pinouts of this display and proved them to be common to most other displays acording to the T6963C datasheet. I get nothing but random horizontal lines across the display, and LCDinfo will show solid vertical lines where it is trying to display graphics but too large for the screen. I have checked and rechecked the wiring and as the lines seem to move around when the info changes I am suspecting that I am specifying an incorrect size. Does anyone know what size display this is as I have tried all software I could find without much luck. |

Check wiring again and again and again. |

Post subject: | could be faulty |
I have lost count on the number of times I have re-checked the wiring, even leaving it to the next day didn't help. I followed another thread from this forum http://forum.lcdinfo.com/viewtopic.php?t=576&start=0&postdays=0&postorder=asc&highlight= which looks to be the same as I have worked out. I have noticed that although the lines across the display seem to be random, they apear to be the bottom most line of each character in text mode, and a Bitmap shows up as though lines are missing. I am now thinking that the row generator chip T6A40 could be at fault. |

Looks like it was a faulty display. Tried another and it works fine. I have a small black bleed mark on the screen even with no power, if anyone knows how to fix this, let me know. Thanks |
