Use the 372 scheme; http://forum.lcdinfo.com/viewtopic.php?t=549 No need to ground pin 2-24, but pin 23 (CS) must be run to ground. FRP and BL can be left unconnected. Post some results if you got it up and running please |

Yea I got the same problems, kinda looks faded and text blinks a lot, maybe software? I plan on writing some software for this. It really good looking tho, just not as bright as my char 20x4 vfd. |

Try some car windows tinting see if that kills the ghosting. Or get decent VFD filters http://www.elfa.se/elfa-bin/setpage.pl? ... 011657.htm |

mingingbollock wrote: piccys soon Any pics yet? I tried to take some pics of mine to show Coorz the fading, but my digital camera seemed to be "refreshing" faster than the display , and I could only get partial data to show on the display. |

I wanted to get some pics posted but i dont own a digital cam and been trying to borrow one. Only problem now is my screen stopped working in mid-use. It makes a clicking sound from what seems like the big transformer on the back. I checked voltage from the computer power supply (what Im using to power it) and it is 5volts. I noticed tho the wire I used to connect the power supply to the vfd is hot. Too much resistance on the wire? |
