I cant find anything to help me,i have a noritake itron CU20025ECPB-W1J VFD and i need to get a controller to get it up and running in my rig.. Image this be the vfd i have, pdf for it here http://www.snt-systems.com/Uploader/uploads/CU20025ECPB-W1J-03.pdf


What and where can i get a controller for it?

Your datasheet link doesn't work over here, but I found this one.

For what I understand from the datasheet is that it already has a build-in controller, you just have to program software for it. It's pretty easy to connect it to the LPT port (See this for LPT pinout, see the datasheet for LCD pinout), but I cannot say if it works directly.

Start writing software is easy in Visual Basic 6 and DLPortIO. There is some demonstration projects that comes with the DLPortIO package. Any other information could be find in this forum.

Well it's even easier; that VFD is a LCD drop-in replacement, hence it's HD44780 compatible and will work with most established character LCD apps like Smartie/JALcd/LCDinfo etc.
You can use this popular/common wiring scheme.

Yes, there are USB backpacks for HD44780 LCD/VFD's. However i can't say anything about compatability with character LCD apps, you should check that unless you plan to write your own software.
