Post subject:  SED1503

Hello,

I've had a display from a fish finder lying around for a while, and I've been curious about whether I could use it or not. Now, I realize that this probably doesn't have anything to do with LCDInfo, considering that this display is older than I am. I spent some time several months ago looking for a datasheet for the SED1503 controller (which this display has 4) and I finally came across one. I just spent the early afternoon putting together a pinout for the header on the display as well. Now, from what I understand, the display shares its address lines with its data lines. I'm somewhat new to all of this, so my question is: how do I write to it? I'd appreciate any information anyone can provide me for this controller. I'll include my pinout.

Thanks!

Code:
Seiko C192 001B

        2 1
    CS1 . . D0,A0
    CS2 . . D1,A1
    CS3 . . D2,A2
    CS4 . . D3,A3
     WR . . D4,A4
     RD . . D5,A5
    Vdd . . D6,A6
    Vss . . D7
       16 15

I'm not familiar with this controller but if you have the datasheet I could have a look and maybe that would help.

Post subject:  hate to revive an old thread like this...

But I just came across this thread again after forgetting about this display for a while. Sorry for such a late reply, but the datasheet for this particular controller can be found here:

I believe the way the display is wired has an 8-bit shared address / data bus... and I'm not too clear on how I am supposed to control that. I'd appreciate any insight!

Thanks!
