Post subject:  powering up graphical LCD

Alright so i guess my first post wasn't the best seeing that no one could help me out so i will try and get a little more details and tell you what i have tried.

I have a graphical LCD made for a car video set up i am trying to use if for a diffrent application but can seem to figure out how to get graphics to show up on the screen.

When 12 volts is applied via ac-dc converter the screen goes all white. after reading a little info i thought maybe it was just a contrast issue. cut down the voltage going to the unit to 6V and 9V the screen just flickered still only showing up as white.

is there anything i should or could do diffrently to attemp to get the project up and running?

Is a all white LCD mean that the screen is bad and i should just toss it?

thanks for the help in advance

If you used a 12v connection to power it there is a chance you have blown it because most work on 5v. Judging by the fact that you get a flicker though looks like you might be in luck.

Check your wiring, I expect that would be the problem. Check every connection and combination against the schematics you used.

Also, if you post your model, graphics chip and schematic you used to wire it up here people should be able to help you out more.

Post subject:  the info i have on my lcd

This is horrible but

There are what looks like 2 mian IC's on the back of the panel

Sharp
IR3Y29A

AND

Toshiba
200G02F0002
9939FA1

The schematics i have used are that from the guess and check school. All i have figured out is that there is a power and a ground. other then that the preset pins on the board (there are three) have the following

Section 1
13 Pins which include the power and ground

Section 2
14 pins
no idea what they are for

Section 3
9 pins
again no idea

theres a "KA" "6.1" on the actual board looking from the front.

I recived these screens from a friend telling me i was the only person he knew to get them working(go figure)

Hopefully that gives a little more insight as to what i am dealing with..

THANKS AGAIN
Matt
