Post subject:  Pin Compatible Replacement for Epson S1d13305

Epson is obsoleting the S1D13305. They are not providing a pin compatible replacement. However, I have found and tested a pin compatible replacement from a Tawain company (Raio Technology).
P/N :D RA8835.

This could be helpful for those not interested in doing a hardware redesign to address the obsoleting of the S1D13305.

Couldn't find a link on the www.mitsutech.com site for that IC. Figures, since I just bought a whole bunch of the SED1335's :x

I emailed to see if I could buy some samples anyway. Be interesting to see if there are any performance differences between the 2 chips....I've never even heard of RAIO... :?

Thanks for the info Mark :D

How did you get samples to test with?
Dealing with the people at mitsutech.com was impossible :x
First, they wanted a business name (which I gave them), then a business reference (so I could establish credit through them), and then, finaly wanted to send a sales person out to meet me.... 8O

When I sent them an email explaining that I didn't need to meet with a sales rep, that all I wanted was a couple of samples, and if they worked, I would just buy some, they never replied!!!
