Hi. I bought my first LCD display and I have wiring problem...

Display full code is G1216B1N000. And it haves one HD61203TE and two HD61202TE controllers. Documents here: http://www.seiko-usa-ecd.com/lcd/products/graphic_mods/g1216b1n000.html

All i get is black screen and lights on.

Is it possible that screen is black becose I have -12v VLC? Specification says that -8 is normal but it also says that min.VLC = VDD-19V. VDD is 5V. So down to -14V supose to be acceptable. Or is it?

Pins are:
1 VDD
2 VSS
3 VLC
4 DB0
5 DB1
6 DB2
7 DB3
8 DB4
9 DB5
10 DB6
11 DB7
12 CS1
13 CS2
14 RST
15 R/W
16 D/I
17 E
18 FGND
19 LEDA
20 LEDB

How I connect those 12,13,15,16 pins correctly..

Now I have made modifications and still it wont work. I dont have a pull up resistors. Maybe I buy some tomorrow. And I also have connected reset line directly to the +5V.

So.. Contrast potentiometer works fine but nothing else changed.

Are you sure that D/I and RS are same?
What configurations you have in LCDInfo?

D/I and RS are the same thing.

D/I = DATA/INSTRUCTION

RS = REGISTER SELECT (data/instruction)
