Post subject: | Broken inverter, part missing |
This is what I've managed to trace from an onboard EL-inverter circuitry. The problem is that the transformer (T) was broken (only the legs were in place) and the device itself has been a measuring equipment of some sort, not much bigger than a typical remote controller so there has not been much space for the transformer. The device itself was running from a 9V battery. Could anyone suggest what kind of a replacement transformer I should be looking for it? |

Can't help you with that, but i do know you can buy cheap mini-inverters similar to that thing to drive EL-sheet. They are little squared black boxes with 4 pins. |

But it would mean extra parts hanging from the display with everything else already built-in. |

There's no IC. The inverter-parts are with the rest of the control electronics. |
