I've read, that the display is the same with other nokia's, but the result is reflected. |

I've been looking for informations about nokia displays for a long time, and What I found is that all uses the same controller (PCD8544) and the PN is LPH7366 for some Nokia display. There are lots of projects with them. http://sandiding.tripod.com/Bertys.html http://rifer.narod.ru/usblcd.html |

according to the data sheet your display seems to be a LPH7779/7677 compliant one (8 pins) @dantasad_28: lph7366 has 9 pins ... but all of these are driven by the same controller (pcd8544 or compliant) /mrwastl |

where did you read LPT? LPH != LPT LPH7779, ... are model names. if you would have read some of the existing projects you would have read about those different model names. some urls: (dantasasd_28 already posted a link to Bertys pages): http://sandiding.tripod.com/lcd.html my own project: http://serdisplib.sourceforge.net (use http://serdisplib.sourceforge.net/ser/pcd8544.html for your display) and many others (some are listed in the page above) /mrwastl |

NOKIA 5210 pinout tested inverted display can be seen in a digital clock application. Perhaps Henry could add a modified driver for these displays, so they can be used with LCDinfo. |

i thinked that i could use 2 LCD, so i started to selder first but noticed that i cant do it So pin out goes like? RES => LPT pin 4 Vout => LPT pin ? GND => LPT pin ? CS => LPT pin ? D/C => LPT pin 6 SDA => LPT pin 3 SCL => LPT pin 2 VDD => LPT pin ? i all ready soldered those so i hope that is ok. |

With LCDInfo you can use whatever pins from the LPT datalines (2-9) and then set the same pins in LCDInfo. You also need to connect a small capacitor (ceramic or polyester) between the VOUT & CS pins and the CS pin also to GND. For example: RES => LPT 4 GND => LPT 18-25 D/C => LPT 6 SDA => LPT 3 SCL => LPT 2 VDD => LPT 9 (to be safe you could put a diode between VDD & LPT pin 9, the stripe facing away from the LPT port.) VOUT => capacitor => CS CS => GND |

Propably doesn't work because the PCD8544-driver in LCDInfo is for a different model. Unless someone writes a new one. |
