Ok, I have all the parallel wiring in the bag, but I have a couple of dumb questions about the power diagram here.

Correct me if I am wrong, but I am assuming that the 220uH bit is an rf choke. Would a ferrite core one or one of those small resistor sized ones be better? If there is no difference, I will go for the small one so I can put it on a protoboard.

What is that other connection? The one with the flat line, connected to the SWE line and the cap at the top right.

What should I do with the positive line after the conversion? Tie it to the +5v?

Is the Zener just a generic one? I cannot get SB130s near me.

What is the maximum amp input of this circuit? Would 300mA be ok?

I realise that this is a lot of questions, but I am new at this and have never dealt with negative voltage circuits. Any help at all would be great.

Thanks,
-penjuin

I have gone with another circuit now.

Even if you've picked another circuit, I'm sure a lot of people would like to know the answer to this question.... :D

I've built some with using the resistor type and they work just fine.
