Post subject:  Hitachi LM300XM (datasheet/wiring) and HD61830 controller

I found display, where I can find this information: Hitachi LM300XM
In display, there are 7 chips, 3x Sanyo LC7940, 3x Sanyo LC7941, and one Sanyo LC7942.

And I found this page with LM300XM keyword: http://www.americanmicrosemi.com/inform ... pn=LM300XM
And I think it's just display module (it's said in the page :P), then I found also this one from the same machine:

I think it's controller for the display module, because there is Hitachi HD61830 chip, and I also found from this forum that it's supported.

So I'm looking for wiring for this controller and display module, in controller there are one 10pin jack and one 20pin jack and in display there is one 10pin jack, so I'm not sure can I connect these 10-pin jacks to each others, so can you help me? :)

And in picture in display is that sticker, where reads LM300XN

And after I took that pic I took it away, and under it read LM300XM :P But I think those doesn't have big difference.

Without a datasheet, it will be difficult to help you figure out how to connect this display. The HD61830 is the controller, but has been pretty much replaced with the LC7981. If you can find the datasheet, it will be a lot easier to help you with this.

Well obviously the 10-pins on both PCB's should connect to each other.
Then use the HD61830 PDF to chart the 20-way socket, only problem might be Vee / Vo pins.

Yeah I think that too, is there any way to check could they be connected to each other with 10-pin jacks?

And another question, is there possibility, if I try to connect them to each other, and then connect 20-pin jack to lpt, and insert power, could they broke?
Just that I don't want to broke them :P

And what problems might be with Vee/Vo pins?

Get a multimeter and check for the GROUND pins, if they both match then you can be sure.
It should work if you only connenct the datalines and supply voltage (backlight too?). Maybe you won't see a thing without contrast control (Vee Vo) but it shouldn't fry anything.
