I have narrowed things down to three choices... All modules are Non backlit, and have a Samsung S6A0069 controller, characters are 5x8 format. I have a choice of a 16x2 for $7.30, 20x2 for $19.40, or a 24x2 for $20.43 Which would you recommend I take? Thanks! |

If that Samsung is HD44780 compatible then alright. Better check e-bay for backlighted ones for cheap. |

Well, Ive found that the KS0066 chip is HD44780 compatible, and that the datasheet for both is exactly the same... so the S6A0069 is basically the KS0066. and the ordering catalog lists 'industry standard pinouts'. So, which size of display would you recommend for those prices? 16x2, 20x2, or 24x2? |

hmmm. I think I'll take the 16x2 then and then I'll see if it works at all. if not, I've only lost $7.30, not the $20... I can always upgrade later. |
