I'm trying to test PG320240 LCD (SED1335 controller compatible) I'v made the cable for LPT, downloaded LCDinfo build 19 and stuff, installed DLportIO... configured the pins in the SED1335 driver. The program loads, shows the icon near my ICQ and does nothing with the screen... I took an osciloscope and found that it does nothing with the parallel port. Printer works properly with the port. I can't get what's wrong (the wiring and port address were checked many times) My operation system Win98 running on P2 400 MHz 256M RAM.
What can it mean?
1. Maybe parallel port needs special configurations?
2. Maybe all printers must be uninstalled?
3. Maybe me screens file is wrong (i've created one) but "goodbye" message must appear anyway as far as I understood?

I can't fully get the idea with "screens" tags. <action> - is nesessary to make LCDinfo transfer the data to the screen?

thank you beforehand

Well...I finally checked the signals from lpt pins (thanx to osciloscope)...some data is apperaing...but still got no image... suppose something wrong with the screen controller itself....maybe somebody knows wether 17 pin must be under negative voltage (-15-20 volts) and must be leaded to Vlcd pin 3 via potentiometer (PG320240 with SEG1335 compatible controller)?

You should crosscheck the lcdinfo SED driver config with the wiring scheme you used. And yes at least the 'Goodbye' message should come when you exit LCDinfo.
If you can't adjust contrast you should hook up Vee through a pot to Vlcd, assuming you have onboard Vee otherwise you'd need a DC-DC converter.

I have finally fixed the problem with my PG320240. It was not very easy to get the full wiring from the manufacturer. There was a problem with negative voltage onboard generator (AIC1662). This display doesn't need any external source except 5 volts, and has a white potentiometer onboard to adjust the contrast. leading the negative voltage from external gave the positive result. For now i'm waiting for the stuff to fix the generator, and then will try to reconnect to LPT again.[/code]
