Most of these LCD apps use Parallel, not USB, so that may be a problem.
One question for you....where did/would you find that kind of plexiglass as seen on that MP3 player? I've been looking for that too.

Yes, The Plastic Is Kinda Hard To Find, But I Think I Can I Find It, Cus I Know The People That Can. lol, Hey. One Question. I Would Like To Use a Simple Colur Screen, Can I Some How Hack-Up a Parralell, to USB Adapter.

And The Screen, I need to Make Sure It Works With The Mp4 Player Afterwards (DONT WORRY), First ill get the LCD Working On The PC.

The Acctually Scematic, Or The Wiring, How Will It Work, And I Would Like a Larger Screen If Possible, But Cheap. Also I Want the "Colour" on the Colour Screen put to use. I Can Make a Nice GUI in Pixel's, once i got the resulution of the screen, and by-the-way, the harddrive is going to be portable, but installing Drivers is no problem.

So i jus need help picking a screen and getting it to work, thanks. any questions about my project feel free to ask.

and i live in the United Kingdom, that might help finding a screen, and i dont mind shipping it, also maybe cheap LCD;s from china "yey".

will update blog "now"!
tnx :P

It's hard to suggest a screen to you based on the fact that you want one in color and USB. All the screens used here are based on the use of the parallel port and are monochrome. The best suggestion I could think of is to have a look at Ebay. There are always cheap, color LCD screens (some with touchscreen) available there. I wish I could help more, but it's nothing that I use personaly. I know I've seen new PDA type screens on Ebay quite often. It sounds like an interesting project.
So....you going to share your source for that plexi??? :D

What you could do is grab yourself one of the X2040 displays which contains an FTDI FT245BM based USB daughter board. This should take care of your USB to parallel (8bit I/O) requirement.
I'm currently using one to control several Nokia's

Btw, I havent Cracked how im gonna get the plexi, but once i find a source, dont worry, u will be the first to know.

And the screen need to be colour, prefrable kinda large, even touchscreen, like u said they use parrallel, I have that in mind.....

What if i use a USB<->Parrallell Adapter. If that works then I have no problem. tnx
