I think Zotty at LiQuiD-MP3 forums has a display like this. I'm sure you could get better answers from there as I don't have earlier experience with this display configuration.

Do you have a datasheet for the display or a pinout ?

EDIT:
This is also discussed here:

It would be nice if you could post a link to the datasheet or email it to me as I would also be interested in seeing it.

I'll see what I can do...

This display has 3 controllers as the 128x64 displays have only 2 so this needs to be controlled some kind differently. I'm not sure how it exactly works but I'll have a look. LiQuiD-MP3 has support for 192x64 display with this controller.

I had a look at the datasheet you posted and it has 2 chip select lines and 3 chips. The datasheet didn't say much how it should be used but I think it could work so that the 2 chips are selected normally and the 3rd chip is selected when both CS lines are low. This the first thing that came to my mind but there might be some other possibilities also. If this is how it works 2/3 of the display should work even with the current software that has been made for 128x64 displays.

Do you have contrast working on the display ?

No, nothing work...

When i turn on the +5v on the display it´happends nothing!

And i have a 10K variable resistor connected to the VO pin and then to +5v and ground!

Nothing happends on the display when i turn the resistor...

i found this if that help:
http://www.farnell.com/datasheets/5041.pdf
and this
http://www.data-modul.de/upload/displays/pdf/MGLS19264.pdf

Do u have a schematic how i connect it to the PC... it should be fun to see if i conneced it right..

I don't have a schematic for this module and it's easier to just write here than draw a schematic ;)

You can use this schematic as reference to connect the pins to the parallel port. Just follow the pin names instead of numbers.

It looks like your display doesn't have a negative voltage circuit built in so you need to feed a adjustable negative voltage to the Vo pin. Only reference for the lcd drive voltage I could find in the datasheets was MAX 17V for VDD-Vo so the needed negative voltage could be about -10v.

In the above schematic pin 18 (Vout) of the display gives the negative voltage but as your display doesn't have this output you need to feed the negative voltage yourself.

Oooh, thanx!

I should test it....
I hope it works, the display cost to much to throw to the trash and its too nice too... :)

i get back here and tell you if it works or not!

Have you tried with LiQuiD-MP3 ? I also recommend double checking your wiring for any mistakes.
