Hello,

I recently bought a 128*64 KS0108 lcd from Sureelectronics (specs : http://www.sure-electronics.net/englishsite/lcdmodule/128x64.pdf). I connected it with this schematics : http://www.skippari.net/lcd/displaytech12864a.gif, everything is ok except the contrast, which is very very weak.

Some pictures :
With LcdStudio, low contrast

Wiring (same problem with 10k potentiometer)

Pc is booting, I plug in USB and // cable and the contrast seems to be ok :?

Any help would be great :D
Thanks for your answers

So it seems the contrast is looking ok in the last picture....what is the problem you are having now?
Also, if the screen shows like one half is on the opposite side, switch the wiring between your CS1 and CS2.

To take the last picture, I plug in USB and // when my computer was booting (bios screen), so I guess there is no/wrong data, which explain the split screen.
Then when windows starts, all pixels turn off and when I start LcdStudio, the contrast is weak (pict 1) :?

Try using a different 5VDC source, like from your PC's power supply.

What kind of potentiometer is that? Reason I ask is make sure it's not an audio taper pot, as that will give different results too. Also, make sure all your grounds are connected well (ie., LPT 18-25 and LCD pin 1, plus the power supply ground) should all be tied together. If that doesn't change anything, see if you can try it on another PC.
