Hi,

Iam working on ARM9 base development board.
My board features are

cpu - ARM926ejs cpu with MMU,
USB,
TCP/IP,
Ehternet,
PCI,
I2S,
GPIO's
I2C,SPI, etc

Now I ported linux-2.6.14 kernel on my board with above mentioned drivers.

Now I want to add the Graphics LCD support to my Board, So pls give me the idea to LCD interface.

which type of interface is better to my board?
which type of Graphical LCD to use?
Any linux driver is there for Graphical LCD support?

Pls help me...........

Thanks & Regards

Maybe you should post a link to your development board and exact processor used.

There are so many different ways to connect displays.
-simple 8-bit bus + couple control lines parallel lcd to cpu GPIO pins
-similar parallel lcd to cpu external bus (if yours has one)
-SPI and other serial bus displays
-controller chip to cpu external bus + controllerless display (this is usually what needs to be done with larger displays)
-or if you're lucky your cpu already includes a lcd controller
-etc

Maybe the simplest way to go would be to connect a relatively small display to the GPIO pins.
How large resolution should your display have ?

You still haven't provided us better information about the hardware you are using. Please provide us with the exact part number and manufacturer of the processor and also of the board if possible.
Knowing your hardware could be crucial to be able to give you the right answers.
