Panasonic W1030 is mini computer & typewriter from the early 1990's containing a wide screen white on blue 480x128 backlit LCD. These can be picked up on Ebay quite cheaply.
Neat feature about this particular model is the inclusion of the SED1330F controller, inverter (+light) and contrast slider on the LCD backplane, which means the LCD can be used indepentently of the micro.

Pinouts are as follows:
Gnd
RES
RD
WR
CS
A0
D7
D6
D0
D5
D1
D4
D2
D3

NC | (WF?)
NC } no not connect, these were used as a sync by the CPU
NC |

Vdd 5v
Gnd
CFL/Inverter 12v
Gnd
-vee -25v

Any of the standard SED133x wiring diagrams should be enough to operate this.
