Why aren't they more popular? i mean you can get one of these dvd players for €100 or less, they have a good size screen with usually speedy updates, the only problem are obscure manufacturers.. but i think it's a really good idea to do more research into these LCDs, for example - i could snap together a lcd from this, a mini-itx board (or something smaller) and have a UMPC for €200 to €300.. a perfectly affordable custom umpc..
I think you guys should look a bit more into these, since if documented, they could prove to be very nice cheap lcds..
