Hi,

i need some information about the outer display of the Nokia 9210 Communicator. I read, that an Epson EM4502 Controller-based LCD was used. But i can't find a datasheet of it. Otherwise an pcd8544-based display was used in the Nokia 9110.
Anyway, if you can supply information (even negative one, aka "this display was not used") i would really appreciate that.

Hi,

ok it seems to be PCD8544-based. But when i issuing the "all display segments on"-command (0x09, means D=0, E=1) every second line stays blank. This happens also when i write regular data to the display. Any suggestion what causes this effect are appreciated.

Hi,

adding a 100nF cap between Vout and GND and Vcc and GND respectively solved the blank-line-problem. Does anybody know if there are suitable libraries for driving the LCD with a FTDI TF2322D Dual USB UART out there?
