I have been thinking... And that's rarely a good thing... If you take a normal led-backlit 128x32 lcd (size doesn't really matter) and hook it up the normal way. Then you remove the original led backlight, take two, three or four different colored leds, mount them at the edge (needs to be a edge-backlit lcd). Say you have red, green and blue. Then you you create some creative piece of software that syncs led-flashes with screen refreshes... Could you then create a 3-color lcd? (Would have to be inverted of cource) One frame of graphics would require 3 redraws, one for each color. What is the refresh-rate of small graphic lcd's? Is the theory applicable at all? I know that it would probably look not quite right. But in theory? Christian.. |

The speed of monochrome STN displays usually wouldn't be nearly enough for something like this. I think. |
