The first step for anyone trying to use would be to try to find more information about the displays. Have you tried searching for any information based on the markings on the displays or the actual device models the displays are from ? Often this kind displays can be difficult to find information for. One way to proceed could be to try to reverse engineer the connections and communications in the original equipment if it's still working but probably not really worth it trying to go this route. |

ok,the only screen that I'm interested in is the sunplus screen because it's fairly large and is also very clear. I did manage to get a little info on the unit itself. 9-bit video input processor Data sheet: http://www.nxp.com/acrobat_download/dat ... 113H_2.pdf WM9711L sound controller but has nothing to do with the screen so i wont bother posting a data sheet also same for the memory. I could not find any other information on any of the chips, but i will list them here encase your luck is better then mine. 1. 8mx16t1 0 0555 (branded with the marking TA) 2. sunplus spca536a-pb111 0554 mdk0919.00 ( i be leave this is the main processor as spca536a is the model of the pmp also it is a fairly large chip) The reason I'm using the screen is the unit has damage to the bored and no longer boots. |

Well I decided to make a quick search. http://www.gp32x.com/board/index.php?ac ... 28&t=33600 Gives us Quote: 1. Sunplus (Sunplus) SPCA536 program MIPS RISC MCU R3000-compatible
Image/Video Compression/decompression Processors ROM/Flash/SDRAM interface STN/TFT LCD panel controller NTSC/PAL TVBS and RGB Monitor interface CF/IDE/ISA-like interface for multiple storage devices USB 2.0 Device and 1.1 Host/Device interfaces CCD/CMOS sensor interface CCIR 601/656 Video Input/Output Interfaces AC97 Input/Output and PWM-Output Audio Interfaces RS232 for program upgrade & debugging GPIO for DI/DO & PZT controls 8-bit ADC inputsADC inputs lookahead And http://img297.imageshack.us/my.php?imag ... om2wp3.jpg http://img120.imageshack.us/my.php?imag ... om2hv5.jpg http://img154.imageshack.us/my.php?imag ... om2nn9.jpg http://img120.imageshack.us/my.php?imag ... om2qk5.jpg http://img222.imageshack.us/my.php?imag ... om2va6.jpg http://img140.imageshack.us/my.php?imag ... om2se5.jpg So the SPCA536 includes a TFT controller. Is the display resolution 320x240 ? Your display might be something close to a common pinout. If you have the PCB of the equipment where your display is from then you should post some high resolution, clear images of the them. They might include some crucial information. How many conductors are there in the lcd cable ? There might be some other common lcd with datasheet available that matches yours. And with the original PCB you might be able to look for common signals to check if it matches any of the available datasheets. |

These pictures look already a lot better. But still they don't show details. Preferably the resolution should be several times larger so that all details can be seen also so that traces on the PCB can be followed for example. I assume the images you got from the scanner were with much higher resolution. Even if the display size is smaller it could still be same resolution and even use the same pinout. But it could also not. You could try with a multimeter to see if the pins in the connector match the pinout I posted. I recommend testing the ground pins first to the ground plane of the PCB. Then could try the power supply lines. Power supply from the PCB should be easily found from the capacitor ends. |
