Post subject: | Unknown LCD screen (from BenQ Joybee 150 MP3 player) |
Hi, I'm new to this LCD modding stuff. I have an old MP3 player and was wondering if the LCD display would be any use for connecting to my PC for displaying text. Here's some pics: www.skynet.ie/~zilog/pics/lcd/joybee1.JPG www.skynet.ie/~zilog/pics/lcd/joybee2.JPG www.skynet.ie/~zilog/pics/lcd/joybee3.JPG www.skynet.ie/~zilog/pics/lcd/joybee4.JPG It's a BenQ Joybee 150, 128MB. I can't find much info about the player except for some old reviews. The Toshiba chip underneath is the main Flash memory (4th pic). The SST chip is more Flash memory - firmware I guess (2nd pic). The small Philips chip is the FM radio (2nd pic). There's a TI LW066A to the left of of the LCD connector (3rd pic) On the LCD panel it says "A3-4" in the bottom left and "6195D0" on the bottom right. Any ideas what it is? Would I be able to connect such a display (more or less) directly to a parallel port? Anyone made any guides for working with unknown displays? Thanks for any help. |
