Hi,

Does anyone know if the LCD controller RA8835a (SED1335 and S1D13305 equiv) can be used with the following LCD drivers, NT7704 & NT7703?

http://www.optrex.com/products/partdeta ... NF-SLY-ALN

I want to use the Optrex display above and I am familiar with the RA8835. I am wondering if the two are compatible?

Unfortunately this Oprex LCD is the only one that meets my specification, except for the fact it doesn't have a in-built controller. It only has a 4bit interface and NT7704 & NT7703 drivers.

I am very familiar with the RA8835a fro, other projects and would like to stick with it. However controller-less LCDs are something new to me so I don't know what controller I can use with LCD.

Any input is welcome.
Thanks,
Philip

To answer my own question, here is what RIAO sent me:

"The RA8835A controller can be used with LCD drivers NT7704 & NT7703.
Those drivers have 4 bit parallel input modes that's compatible to 4 bit drver data outputs of RA8835."

True. That display should be compatible with the common 4-bit driving scheme as supported by S1D13305, RA8835 and S1D13700 for example.
