Sorry folks I’m a Greenhorn in handling with Graphik Displays so I have to ask to make the first steps. I’m going to by a 240x128 Display from reichelt.de (A German Store) -> LCD 128240A LED This display contains a T6961A IC and I hope that I can use it with LCDinfo. Please inform me if it is not so. Here is the Application note from reichelt.de http://datenblatt.reichelt.de/opendownload.html/?folder=A500&file=LCD128240A%23DIS.pdf&artikel=LCD%20128240A%20LED thx |

Hmm, I think I have also assembled few pieces of this Displaytech model in past for use with LPT port. It works fine with LCDInfo but there was one problem with the displays I had. Although there is the FS pin for font size selection the display is hardwired for 8x8 font. You can make it work with 6x8 font by unsoldering one of the T6963C chip pins and then bending it up and wiring that pin to either GND or +5V. Can't remember which one it was anymore but you have to wire it opposite to the default. It's not that hard to make the modification but it is possible breaking the display if you're not careful. |
