I'm looking at the spec sheet:

http://www.optrex.com/SiteImages/PartLi ... 773age.pdf

I can't figure out what is needed to wire this thing up. There are no mentions that I can find at any LCD wiring sites to help, either.

The first question is that it says Vdd should be 5.0V, but Vee should be around 18.5 ... though I keep seeing mention that it should be a negative voltage (and it is listed as Vdd-Vee on the spec sheet).

Second, I haven't run across another LCD with this pinset:

1 [FGND] Frame Ground
2 [GND] Ground (what is the difference here???)
3 [Vdd] Logic PSU
4 [Vee] Drive PSU
5 [WR] Write Signal L:Active
6 [RD] Read Signal L:Active
7 [CE] Chip Enable Signal L:Active
8 [C/D] Write Mode H:Command Write L:Data Write Read Mode H:Status Read L:Data Read
9 [NC]
10 [RESET] L:Reset
11 D0
12 D1
13 D2
14 D3
15 D4
16 D5
17 D6
18 D7
19 [FS] Font Switch H:6x8d L:8x8d
20 [RV] Display Data Reverse Signal H:Reverse L:Normal (I can't find anything similar anywhere else for this)

I'm assuming I will need both 5V supply and some other type of supply. I have a 5V inverter coming for the CC, and I can get 5V from molex for the Vdd, but I don't know what I'm supposed to do for Vee.

Please, can somebody help me? I just want to know how to get this up and working ....

Hello

You're right with -18.5 V for Vee ...
The pinnassignment is like other LCM ...
You should look at:
http://www.lcdhype.de.vu
for wiring and using on LPT:
they have usefull help with their program "LCDhype".
Look there for T6963C - controller wiring ...
hope it was a little help for you ... :-)
but if you don't like this device I'll take it ... :-)))

good luck

It means that if you have Vdd of 5V like you should then you need Vee of -13.5V to get Vdd-Vee of 18.5V.
I'd recommend -15v for the negative voltage(Vee) so you would have some room for adjusting the contrast with trimmer as needed.
+5v(Vdd), -15v(Vee) = 20v(Vdd-Vee).

Frame ground is connected to the metal frame of the display module. GND is the normal power ground. These can be connected together.

If you connect this to +5v you can reverse your display image. When grounded you have normal image.

For Vee you need to make some circuit or buy one.
