Hi all, I am considering to buy a graphical LCD and want to know which controller contains a character generator ROM so I can write text witout figuring out the bit patterns myself. I know, should not be such a problem, but I'm somewhat lazy 
I have some experience with hd44780 controlled LCDs and want to add a little diagram and some custom icons, but the main data to display is text. Please don't beat me if this question was asked already, I tried the search function. Thanks, Sebastian |

At least T6963C, SED1330, SED1335 will do that. Also LC7981 and HD61830 have character generator but it can't be used while in graphics mode. |
