I've got an external lcd module.
It worked once, but it was quite long (about 8-10 years) ago.Now I want it back on track (for clock and winamp),but the wiring is lost.
The device has a HD44780A00 with t6961A, which is connected (by a 14-pin connector) to a PIC16C55-XT/p -based controller. The controller board has 4 pins. 3 of them are soldered to a din (5-pin) connector on the back of the unit with a black, a red and a yellow wire.

I tried to connect the yellow one to the 3-rd pin of the 9-pin serial connector, the red one to external +5v and the black one to the 5-th pin of the 9-pin and the gnd of the power supply.
The display doesn't work.

Any ideas? Please send them to andyk@hotmail.ru
PS: The devise name is RIS0R PRODUCTION (made in Norway).
